Here's a look at my work and interests. The goal isn't just to make cool stuff, but to build things that are actually useful and serve as stepping stones for more complex projects. It's essentially how I expand my knowledge base and grow my lab. I also treat these builds as exercises in optimization, constantly trying to balance budget constraints with high quality. My day job aligns with my interests, but it still demands a dedicated chunk of my schedule. To stay efficient, I often customize existing mechanical designs or 3D prints for the structure. This lets me focus on designing the electronics, but you will still find projects in the mix where I did the mechanical design work as well.

A small contribution to a wildlife monitoring project, redesigning the trigger mechanism for lynx traps as part of a faculty competition.

Training a custom YOLOv8 drone detection model and building a simple demo with an ESP32-CAM. A university project focused on learning the ML pipeline end-to-end.

A small robot car controlled by voice commands, built as a final project for my embedded systems course. Uses an STM32F3 Discovery, ESP-01S WiFi module, and cloud-based speech recognition to interpret simple movement commands.
